The Genebanks Accelerator is part of CGIAR’s 2025-2030 Research Portfolio, delivering science and innovation to tranform food, land and water systems in a climate crisis.
Oversight of the Genebanks Accelerator is provided by the CGIAR System Organisation with guidance from a management team.
However, the day-to-day implementation of the Accelerator’s activities is performed by the individual managers of CGIAR genebanks and germplasm health units and by CGIAR policy experts.
The Interim Director is Vania Azevedo.
